In-house moment for me. Working for the VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation, I had the pleasure to lead, conceptualize, and develop the VGH+ brand identity. Supporting the leading charity investing in health care innovation in BC, the VGH+ brand is the new look and feel for the Foundation. The + is the element that will tie together all of the various beneficiaries that the Foundation funds and supports.

Vitality gala
As an in house designer undergoing a rebrand, there are always other projects on the go. The Vitality Gala is VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation’s premier gala. As we parallel path the two different work-streams (VGH+ and the Vitality Gala), thinking ahead and supporting both creatives was a tough task. Super proud how this came to life. Huge props to my amazing friend Steve Swanborough who also had a hand in creating the motion package for this Gala. It was important to have the same motion designer across this Gala and the VGH+ brand. Consistency and overall brand alignment was key.
The following video is the motion representation of the Gala them ‘Connections’ with the tagline ‘No Breakthrough Happens Alone’. The key objective here is to showcase the beneficiaries that VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation supports in a clean and engaging way during the Gala night.
